biography

Singer-Songwriter, Ryan Bisio, dubbed a “dragon of originality”, is often considered a riddle inside of a mystery, wrapped in an enigma. Known for his finger picking guitar style, poetic lyrics, and deeply affecting vocal, the California native’s strong passion and dedication for his music shines through his songs. Bisio brings together a phenomenal blend of blues, folk, rock, and pop.

After taking three years completely off of music, in the summer of 2015, Bisio was hand picked to open for Internationally Acclaimed, and Atlantic Records sensation, Kaleo, with a Top 20 Hit at the time.
In the summer of 2012, Bisio rolled out his fifth studio release, “Harbor Longing.” The album’s reviews garnered him a spot on the Top 50 Indie Artists of 2013 by Indie Music Review Magazine, and also a performance at the Copenhagen Songwriters Festival.

Bisio has toured throughout California as well as Denmark and the Czech Republic, sharing stages with Grammy Award-Winner, Shelby Lynne, Bhi Bhiman, Simon Lynge, Lauren Shera, Jamie Marshall, Truth & Salvage Co., and Rolling Stone Magazine’s Top 100 Guitarists of All Time, Greg Ginn.

Bisio received his B.A. in Contemporary Music from California State University Monterey Bay as a scholarship basketball player. He’s currently teaching songwriting at Arcata High School, as well as being the varsity boys basketball coach, after playing and coaching professionally for years in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The near future will be a prolific period for Ryan, as he released the hair-raising single “Little Fly On the Wall” in the fall of 2015, with a new full length album titled “Bona Fide” scheduled for release in 2016, as well as a Live Album.
